Through the Roof Fund
(Inspired by Mark 2:3-5)
This counseling scholarship Fund pays the difference between what a client can afford for counseling and what it costs FCS to provide the service, thereby allowing us to minister to persons regardless of the level of their financial resources (which is a central aspect of the mission God has given us—see Matthew 25:40). It is named after the story in the Gospel of Mark, Chapter 2, where four friends lower their paralytic friend through the roof and into the healing presence of Jesus. Contributions to this Fund help lower people through financial barriers and into the healing presence of Christ.

At the Well Fund
(Inspired by John 4:4-26)
The goal of this scholarship Fund is to help certain insurance clients, who are in the lower income brackets, afford counseling at FCS. The Fund applies to people who have insurance, but their plan doesn’t cover our services at FCS, or it doesn’t offer much financial assistance, and they cannot afford to pay for our services without insurance help. The Fund is named after the conversation that took place between Jesus and the woman at the well in John Chapter Four. We were inspired to so name the Fund because it is used to help people have an encounter with Jesus “at the well” instead of being sent out to secular providers who accept their insurance.
For additional details, visit the At the Well Fund page.
-
Cornerstone Fund
(Inspired by Ephesians 2:19-22)
Donations to the Cornerstone Fund (sometimes called “The General Fund”) help pay for all of the expenses associated with conducting the ministry of FCS, from phone lines to maintaining our offices to compensation for our staff members to office equipment to clinical file storage, etc. The name of the Fund celebrates Jesus Christ as the Cornerstone for the Church, for our lives, for our clients’ lives, and for the ministry of FCS.

Andrew Fund
(Inspired by John 1:41)
This Fund, also known as the Development Fund, supports ways employed to get the word out regarding the ministry of FCS, including, but not limited to, our web site, the two brochures describing our services, the brochure that tells the story of our mission and vision, and our fund-raising consultations and activities. It is named after Andrew, who, in the first chapter of the Gospel of John, quickly got the word out about Jesus.

(Inspired by Colossians 1:9-11)

-
Loaves and Fish Fund
Inspired by Mark 6:35-44)
This fund was created in response to the growth of FCS’ community outreach. The fund supports two aspects of community outreach: 1) Ministering to the community through giving designed to provide physical nourishment and spiritual encouragement (e.g., donations to food pantries in our satellite churches, donations to outreaches that provide food for those in need); 2) Ministering to the community through relationship building (e.g., meals with pastors from our satellite churches, joint staff gatherings with satellite churches).

Peacemakers Fund
(Inspired by Matthew 5:9)
This fund is inspired by Matthew 5:9, which says, "Blessed are the peacemakers.” It honors the service that military members, veterans, first responders, and government workers in high-risk situations contribute for freedom’s sake throughout the globe as they sacrifice, protect, defend and serve with valor. This fund recognizes the bravery of those who are willing to go into harm's way—courageously living out Isaiah 6:8, "And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.’” Formation Counseling Services (FCS) wants to ensure that these heroes have a safe place to heal, grow and experience renewal during and after their service, as expressed in Ecclesiastes 3:8, "...a time for war, and a time for peace."
-
Freedom and Splendor Fund
(Inspired by Isaiah 61:1-3)
God has grown in the hearts of the FCS community a deep compassion for those held captive by various forms of modern slavery—especially women and children who are being held captive for purposes of sexual exploitation. This compassion is born out of the calling to fulfill Jesus' mission to "bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners..." (Isaiah 61:1b). The name of the Fund not only celebrates the freedom we desire for those held captive by modern slavery, but also the lives of splendor we desire for them beyond their freedom: "They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor" (Isaiah 61:3).
